You are also required to ensure that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to handle a potentially dangerous situation. High standard training can prepare your staff by enabling them to prevent or safely respond to emergency situations.
ASBESTOS AWARENESS TRAINING COURSE
Under Work Health and Safety Regulations, all employers are legally required to alert their staff to hazards and health risks associated with asbestos in the workplace.
The purpose of this training is to give building owners and managers, real estate agents, and staff an understanding of their obligations under asbestos regulations and to be aware of where asbestos is, what is looks like and what actions to take to keep all people safe from asbestos contamination within their workplace.
The Training has three parts:
The course topics, where we will present information about asbestos.
The assessment quiz, which is a multiple choice quiz. During this course, we will cover everything you need to know for the quiz.
After you complete the Training Course and pass the Assessment Quiz, you will receive a Training Certificate.
GENERAL AND FIRST RESPONSE EVACUATION INSTRUCTIONS
The Work Health and Safety Legislation stipulate that the PCBU must provide the information, training and instruction to relevant workers in relation to implementing emergency procedures.
This course delivers to building occupants, the skills and knowledge to prevent and respond to varying emergency situations in their workplace. It demonstrates the correct procedures and appropriate equipment to use in the event of an emergency.
Queensland Variation:
Under the Building Fire Safety Regulations 2008, the occupier of a building must provide all workers with general evacuation instructions within two days of commencing work and then annually, and first response evacuation instructions to workers within one month of commencing work and then every two years.
The First Response Training Course focuses on providing learning and product solutions to meet compliancy requirements under Australian Standard 3745. And ensure understanding and confidence in the event of fire. Included:
EVACUATION COORDINATION PROCEDURES
This course provides Evacuation Coordination Instructions to the Evacuation Coordinator (and other persons responsible for carrying out the Evacuation Coordination Procedures nominated under a building’s Emergency Management Plan.
The Fire Evacuation Training Course focuses on ensuring the understanding and procedures for calm, organised emergency evacuations.
